STURBRIDGE, Mass...Optim Incorporated today announced that it has received a $519,870 order to supply the US Department of Homeland Security with its Flexible FreedomView LED Fiberscopes. The scopes are currently being used by US Customs and Border Patrol to locate hidden contraband in both vehicles and aircraft. This is the second order from the Department of Homeland Security and brings the total number of FreedomView LED Fiberscopes in use to 153. The FreedomView LED Fiberscope’s portability allows agents to move freely, while the unit’s unmatched integral LED Light Engine permits security personnel to examine interior compartments of automobiles, trucks, busses and large and small airplanes. “All of us at OPTIM are pleased that our products are helping contribute to the overall safety and security of the United States,” said Thomas V.
