HHSN Alumnae Association’s $6,700-plus donations enhance Outpatient Clinic

Recent donations by the Alumnae Association of the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing (HHSN) allowed Hartford Hospital’s Outpatient Clinic to purchase new equipment for two OPD divisions.
The association donated $5,495 for the purchase of a Nasopharyngoscope LED, which will be used in examination and diagnosis of nasal sinuses, nasal cavity, maxillary sinus, nasopharynx and vocal cords. The association also donated $1,278.34 for a new cast cutter, which will be used in the Orthopedic Clinic.
The donations were spearheaded by Gail Rapoza, RN, Specialty Surgery, and former president of the HHSN Alumnae Association. The funds were presented by HHSN Alumnae Association President Karen Mazzarella, RN, (Pediatric Cardiology, CCMC) and Association Secretary Della Usher, RN, (clinical consulting analyst, IS),
